Custom Made

I believe that magic happens when two creatives get together. Me and you! You will have a vision, and I will help you make it come to life.

I have crocheted and knitted dresses before, some examples can be found here. I just love working with yarn as it has such different texture and features compared to fabric and sewing. What I like is, that I can make up my own rules, and you can make anything you can imagine.

Crocheting is a process made only by hand. There is no machine to help me with it, therefore it will be reflected in the price. Crocheting is wonderful in regarding creating unique patterns, textures and shapes. It allows more flexibility and is more customizable. Crocheted products hold their shape better than knitted, and are in general more durable.

Knitting can be done by hand or by a machine. Machine knitted products are therefore less costly compared to crocheted items. Machine knitting is great for making big pieces with less time, but it is still hand-operated therefore it is considered handmade.

Now, let's look at the examples of my previous work.

One of the first dresses I crocheted. I wanted to explore different textures and patterns on the chest area. Dress has an open back and it is tied together from the neck.

Knitted Dress- Greete. I named this dress after a woman who ordered it from me first. This dress came out perfect. It was a hit and I sold 10+ the same summer. It was also a great learning experience, as I tried many different yarns and patterns to finalize it, but oddly the first one (the one on the picture) came out best.

Knitted dress with crochet edges. I loved to match different yarns and colours.

Crochet blouse. This one took some time to make, but it came out beautifully! This is a perfect example how delicate crochet can look.

Knitted bikini set, just for fun.

Knitted bikini set and pants.

Knitted loungewear set. Crochet edges.

Crochet butterfly top and bikini pants to match. Perfect festival outfit. You can wear these pieces on its own, or wear something under them.

Machine knitted outfits. Unfortunately it is hard to see, but the darker pants are knitted as well.

Crochet top. One of my first pieces ever made. This top was one of my favourite pieces. I had many colours of my own and wore it almost every day that summer.

Knitted dress with crochet edges. This particular dress came out too large and long, therefore I spiced it up with just crochet rope around the waist and sides.

Knitted dress with crochet edges.

Crochet blouse and strawberry bag. Some of my first pieces. I loved the way I could just express myself by making something colourful and playful.

Knitted blouse, pants and crochet hat. What a cute fit!

As you can see, I saved the best for the last. This probably one of my best works so far regarding crochet dresses. First picture is the inspiration. Probably came from some high fashion runway. I was kind of stressed at first. It was first time making something that big. I thought about how to make this dress 2 weeks. I had conflicting thoughts and wanted to quit as well, but I couldn't just bail out. I was happy she trusted me with her graduation dress, and I wanted to deliver. I was working full time on an office job as well that time, and I don't know how, but I managed to finish it 1 hour before her graduation. I sent the dress with a taxi to her make up before graduation ceremony. It was a tight game with time and I had couple of sleepless nights where I went to bed at 3 and woke up at 5 to crochet, but I did it. This project taught me how to manage my time regarding bigger projects and how to price it accordingly too. I have turned down people who wanted to buy it, but were not ready to pay fair price.

Thank you for staying until the end!

If you like what you see and are thinking of your own dress, please get in touch with me! Let's discuss what you have in mind and how we can make it a reality.

I am comfortable with the price I ask for my work. However I understand that amounts asked for handcraft can sometimes feel unusual. Therefore I have option to pay in installments as well. A lot can happen when making a product that is custom-made. Sometimes an error can occur and whole thing has to be started from scratch, or you lose a lot of your previously made work- it is normal and it can happen. I try my best to avoid wasting time, but sometimes mistakes are inevitable and a part of the process we need to accept. I have made my fair share of mistakes in the past, and therefore I have learned a lot and can now navigate myself better in the world of custom-made. Crocheting takes time, as you can't do it for long periods in one go. You might only be able to crochet 3-4 hours one day as it takes a toll on the wrists and hands. Therefore when ordering a bigger piece, you have take that into account.

If you order a custom made piece, we will agree on a price and return policy before the process starts. Please be prepared to meet with me (if needed), as the product needs to fit you well. I want to make sure you will receive a piece of art you are going to cherish forever, and that takes bit of time- but it is SO worth it!

Let's make your dream dress come true!
